I've searched all over the place in world and can only find one place that sells something like this and they are not very bright or visible so hoping someone here can help either with pointing me in the right direction for making them (preferred) or let me know where I can find some in world.
Basically I want to drop a semi transparent prim over the avi's eyes that will glow a selected color that has the option of emitting wisps of smoke or fire.
I've read over the scripts talking about glowing prims etc and using the full bright option which sort of kind of works but not quite what I want. I also think I understand about having particles emitted a certain distance from the emitter but I'm concerned that instead of just coming out the front of the eyes they would emit in 3D 360 degree fashion appear comingout of the avi's head.
Any suggestions would be welcome. I'm not looking for handouts, I like to do my own work and I'm a competant builder but scripting is all new to me.
Tks.

Tks. Try using a light source rather than full bright. Changing the colour would be a case of a menu or chat command.Scripts to do that have been posted hereAs for smoke / steam you can 'aim' a particle system by adjusting the various parameters for inner and outer angles.

Thanks Newgate, I'll check those out. Sounds like that is exactly what I am after.

For the particles, you could go to a Yadni's (you may already know it). He has many free scripts and stuff and I know that there is a free particle emitter/programmer there. That will allow you to visually design any kind of particle emission you need and with very little scripting. You can just to a search in world for Yadni's and TP there.

Head to the particle lab at Teal 200, 60, 21 for a good run through particles.

The Particle Lab rocks! I learned everything I know about particles from there in just a few hours. Some really great freebie scripts there too. I always tell newbies that I meet that they really must go to the Ivory Tower and then the Particle Lab. Yay for The Particle Lab!
