I'm making a handy little tool that organizes it's contents in a way. The only information I can get from a landmark is it's relative global position, and from that get it's absolute global position, and that's about all I can muster up from it.
With either of those (Most likely absolute global position), can I obtain any additional information about the coordinates? Sim name, Sim position, Land name, Land owner, anything like that?

If you look at the Javascript code at http://slurl.com/ you can pretty easily find information for the (HTTP capability) API to map from map positions to region names and back.

Awesome, that information was very helpful.
How about land specific information? Like the land's image UUID, or maybe even the landmark's image UUID?

But how would you obtain the place ID from it's coordinates?

If you have the region name, a query to the inworld search engine should pop the right page (the uuid will be part of it's address)

From: Void Singer If you have the region name, a query to the inworld search engine should pop the right page (the uuid will be part of it's address) I get a landmark, from there all I have is it's relative position. From the relative position, I get the global position From the global position, I get the sim name and sim coordinates With that information - Relative Position - Global Position - Region Name - Region Position With that information, ( even searching the sim name in http://search.secondlife.com/search.php ), I don't see how I would locate the actual land's name or image UUID (if it'll even be listed when searching). Is there another place I should be searching?

can't remember for sure, but I thought one of the parcel commands would give you the parcel name using global map coordinates (or maybe it was global offset from the current position, like I said, fuzzy memory) which should allow you to get the right parcel page, and it's image address using search, and I'm pretty sure it's within the parsing limit of 2k characters.
misunderstood what you were after on my earlier post.
