hi all, i have seen lights that project a beam onto the floor but you can walk through that beam unlike a normal prim. is this done with scripts? or is it a build option?

looked all over google and in this search but could find nothing useful

It could be just a semi-transparant prim, set as 'phantom' (see edit-menu).

Yup yup. That. I often like to use a texture with a gradient on the alpha on mine.

Oh, and when Paulo says "edit-menu" he means the object tab in the edit window.
