Persistent script

Hello,

I've a strange issue on my land.

I've deleted all objects but some scripts seems to be persistent even without containing object.

I've the problem mainly with an automatic elevator rez / derez functions. Another problem is that I ear a sound script without any object.

Any idea how to stop these scripts and why that happened ?

Even if sound/sound scripts are removed from an object, the sound remains - this is a dismal fact of SL life, something we all deal with. But if you can find the object making the noise, you can drop in a scrubber script to get rid of the sound - you can copy and paste from this link if you need it: http://www.freescriptlibrarysl.co.uk/Scrubber-prim-cleaner.php

The elevator - well - you might have to be more specific. I've had all kinds of troubles with elevators over time - anything from being smashed to be launched, to the thing just falling apart. lol - so... what sort of trouble are you having? If I'm lucky, it'll be something I know how to fix. hehe

The problem is that the object is already deleted and the script is still running !

I've deleted ALL objects from my land and I'm still hearing the sound :-/

And I'm believe that both problems have the same source.

If I understand the Jira article, it should be managed by the sim's owner and I, the land's owner, can't do anything. Right ?

essentially requires a sim reset to kill all ghost scripts.

the sound issue may or may not be the same problem... collision sound, and sound loops are actually prim properties so they persist regardless of scripts. the only way to kill them is to set them by script. to find sound sources I believe it's in the view menu, show beacons & sound sources both need to be enabled.
