Hello, I noticed that SLBot when someone sends you an IM u recive the position in another SIM and a UUID (is not the same person key) there is any way of knowing the name of the region with this UUID?

I don't know of any UUID for a sim, though they might have a unique domain name/IP address/URL. You can get the 2D coordinates of a region's upper left corner, but I think regions are primarily identified by name. I don't believe you can get the name of a sim at an arbitrary location, but you can get the location given the name using llRequestSimulatorData(). There are probably databases that aim at helping with the reverse lookup, but I'm not sure.

I don't believe sims have a UUID, just a URL basically. If you go to help> abuot secondlife it says the address of where you are.
Such as sim7764.agni.lindenlab.com (8.10.148.3:13001) for the one I'm currently in. That's pretty specific, I think, so no need for a UUID, and I don't think the sims are considered assets as part of the asset servers..I could, of course, be wrong. _____________________

You can look it up like this manually or with lsl maybe
http://world.secondlife.com/region/09e48274-17a0-4497-ad1d-ef94e1052ad0 As a client, you need to use RegionHandleRequest (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/RegionHandleRequest) and listen for RegionIDAndHandleReply (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/RegionIDAndHandleReply) at which point you could teleport using the handle, but I dunno what else _____________________

I keep saying it... whenever you think something ANYTHING doesnt have a UUID key, you're wrong. Everything that can be specified has a UUID Key

Does each and every particle? Does the sun? (OK that probably, almost surely does) Do the clouds? (Both old and new), does the clock in my UI? Does my left fingernail? How about my non-prim nipples? Anywho... I'm just trying really hard to get past your truth ![]() _____________________
