I am trying to create teleporters that you can just walk on and they will tp you. is there any way to move the av's other than sitTarget or push?? or maybe a way to force a sit when they walk over it?? Thanks a bunch.

As an alternative, you can have people wear a special "teleport attachment". Your portal spots would then tell the attachment the point in the sim where the teleport goes to, and the attachment can move the avatar there using llMoveToTarget.

The attachment idea would be best in my opinion...
But be careful with automatic teleports. I know I'd be pissed if i accidentally backed over your TP and was suddenly somewhere i didn't want to be. This is likely why user intervention is required... otherwise, I could build a magical hole (like in the Road Runner cartoons) and place copies all over the world. Anyone walking over that hole would be TP'd to my land... a prison with no exit. Surely, that would anger a few people, and is why a <click> should be required. |

If you pass both the region pos and the region corner of the destination, you can teleport an avatar with a moving attachment *anywhere* in the world. See http://www.badgeometry.com/wiki/GlobalCoordinates for more details about how to do this. ==Chris |

I thought it was not possible to make any teleport that crossed over sim boundries. At the moment I am having trouble making a simple teleport to travel between floors in a house instead of a elevator or stairs. I seem to end up at a randon place a bit of a distance away.
But if its possible to make a teleport to anywhere in the world that would be even better. |

Bobby, I use teleports to move between floors all the time, and different zones on Mochastyle land...
Contact me in world, and I'll see if I can help you. _____________________

Thanks a lot Sio. I think I am using one of your scripts but am not sure why it does funny things. It could be the way I am determining the destination coordinates. But the idea was to put a couple of panels in the house with button on. One for local TP within the house and the other for TP within the sim.
If I see you tonight I will send an IM. |

It could be rotations, or it might be that the script needs resetting. Someone else had that problem a while back. I'll be in tonight as I have a couple of events... so feel free.
