Any suggestions for dumping all the details of a prim to a notecard (and rezing it up again later) ?

There is no programatic way (LSL) to write notecards.

I'll send you a copy inworld (it does this sort of thing really well)

To save an object, drop "TLML Exporter v0.30" into each prim, copy the text, into a notecard and remove the prim names from the start of each line so if the prim was named "Object" you would remove "Object: ", it is important that you remove the space.

It should be noted that the scripts on the wiki and documentation there aren't the most up to date versions (TLML has been getting some of my dev time).
  The main changes are to XTM and the path functions. Path functions aren't used by TLTP yet. I removed fading support from XTM as i couldn't see myself ever using it and it would cause massive update lag (TLML already causes update lag as it is).
 
 The one feature i keep forgetting to add is Sit targets. Right now i don't have time to add new features.
