HUD objects cannot play sound |

I've just created a playlist script and I'm wanting to use it within a HUD. It seems to work fine when on the ground - but when attached it seems to stop working. Is this a bug? The wiki suggests that it should work.

I'm trying this out in the sandbox on help island. I'd be a little surprised if you can put an object somewhere and have it play sound but when only you're supposed to hear it then you cant play

Try attaching it to a different HUD attachment point. I'm getting some odd behavior with sounds on HUDs as well. Some attachment points work, and others don't (the sound is not heard)

Still sucks that it happens thoughUltralite Soleil - Just experienced the same thing. Is this an open bug report? I've found in some locations having the object in the top middle works but not in others. Ditto top right. |

Some more info: I found that the sound won't play if the HUD is on the right half of the screen. Without changing the attachment point, just go into edit mode and move the HUD left to right and see what happens. For me, the sound only plays when the HUD is over the left side. I voted for this too. I write a lot of HUD scripts, I've not come across this problem yet, but I will be writing more and I need sound to always play for the user.
My jira problem is being worked on now, (https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-434) about the HUD attaching but being invisible. So maybe the problems are inter-related. _____________________
