Newb Animation Question

I know this is very basic, but I am just starting. How do I get an Animation script into the Avatar? I have only found ways to put scripts into created objects.

Also, on something like the DanceX animations, they all play for a few seconds and stop. How do I write a script to have them go til I stop them?

you cant. scripts can go in objects that are attached to the avatar and can play animations. Animations are usually looped when they are made. though it is possible to do it in a script by making a loop. hope this helps

Well, I guess the answer is you are supposed to use Getures for av animations.

I have created my first Poser animation and uploaded it. I specified the Loop option. Now I have the problem of stopping the anim. It goes on for ever. In the Gesture Panel I tried:

Start Anim
Wait... (0.0)
Stop Anim

The problem I am having is that no matter what I do, when I enter say 5 seconds in for the Wait time, it immediately reverts to 0.0 whenever I click something else. In other words the Wait (time) is not really working. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

im still learning myself, hit enter after you put in the wait time, and i simply made a stop animation key ( it simply has the stop animations option of 5 dances or moves i might use) so on my keyboard F3 makes me boogie, and shift+F3 makes me stop.
