I have a vague memory of an old picture that had a grid of numbers on it, in black and white, used as an explanation of texture offsets.
It might have been in an old LSL-Guide file that comes with the SL installation, or it might have been on the LSLwiki back when it was on badgeometry.com.
Anyone know where that picture is or was?

The picture I'm thinking of was a grid of squares, with numbers on it, sort of like a calendar, or a small spreadsheet with square cells each with just one single or double digit number in it.
Seems like the subject being discussed was how to use texture offsets and texture scale to show just one of the squares in the image on the face of an object. I'd imagine it was from 2003 or 2004. My suspicion is that it was in the lsl_guide current back then, although I don't know. The lsl_guide file I'm talking about comes with SL, in the program files folder, gets no respect, and is largely unknown. I've got some old versions of lsl_guide in html and pdf format. I don't see the chart I'm talking about, although I could easily just be missing it. I suspect Strife has every one of the LSL_guides in existence. _____________________

I actually have no memory of what you are describing. I don't remember seeing it in any of the guides or on the wiki. The guide that ships with the client I can say with all confidence has never included an image. But it might have been in connection with llSetTextureAnim, I have a vague recollection of a numbered chart for frame ordering? But then again I may have constructed the chart in my head...
I don't have every one in existence, I don't have any SL installers for before 1.0, any for 1.1 or 1.5 and coverage before 1.6 is pretty spotty. I have just about every installer after 1.6 including preview installers. I also have selected backups of my disk cache. By the time I decided to collect installers It was already 1.6 and I could find download links for 1.5, not even on archive.org (and i manually scoured the archive of all of the secondlife.com domain). _____________________
