I have an item that uses this script and the script is completely viewable. Yet the comments in the script itself read...
//For explicit use only by members of the Kazenojin Airship guild
//
//May be sold with explicit permission from Goodwill Epoch to non-members
//Settings must be set to no-modify no view to prevent theft of script
//script may not be modified without permission from Goodwill Epoch
What's up with this? The item was given to me a couple weeks ago or so. Did the terms change on this script at some point? This one is dated 6/12/2003.

Dont worry about it now, X-Flight has been distributed and re-distributed, modified, and changed so many times, that I do not believe that is or can be enforced anymore.
If your worried about that, Ill send you a different version of X-Flight, that doesnt have that part in it.

I'd love to use the script but I am very hesitant to do so due to the warning within the script itself. I'd rather not go ahead and use it just because everyone else is, you see. ^-^; |

Back in the day, we didnt have permissions on textures, scripts, or anything other than objects. So this kinda thing happened very often  And rightly so - SL was originally created as a place for sharing and collaborating, not a place for the crazy copyright-heads. Sort of like a 3D version of sourceforge.net, come to think of it. |

So far as I know, this disclaimer still stands (Any version you have without the disclaimer is the result of someone else stripping it out, all 'original' versions have it)... But it's basicly a lost cause, so we (Kaze-no-jin) don't really try to enforce it... Not like we could even if we wanted to.
