Anyone know where to get some basic info on the use of wavs? One of my primary questions at the moment is: Why am I unable to use new sounds with a basic script like the barn door animation? I've tried to swap the old ones with newer. The changes in the script itself are obvious, but the new ones won't work. Could there be a problem with the length of the sound file and file type?

There is one somewhere, but I can't find it right now.

The rules are that it must be <10s long. It must be sampled at CD quality (44.1kHz). There are a couple of formats you can use I think, but I know .wav works (I think Ogg Vobis might, but I've not used it). You should be able to give it stereo or mono sound.

I think that's it, hope that's enough. Quite a few of those I've learnt the "wrong" way - trying to upload a sound that doesn't fit one of more of the criteria should (certainly used to) generate an error message that was actually quite useful and said what was wrong.
