Do I have to enter them manually there, or can I use Notepad IRL and somehow upload the script to Second Life?
I know it's a small thing, but I'm a newbie to Second Life. I'm an experienced programmer at least...maybe I can write something useful |

SciTe is one of most popular alternative editors for LSL scripts (and best supported). That said you will still have to do what zap says.

SciTe is one of most popular alternative editors for LSL scripts (and best supported). That said you will still have to do what zap says. Actually the way I use SciTE-ez it's not quite like Zap described. From SciTE-ez I use Ctrl-F7 (compile), F5 (go) which together will process the ESL and drop it in the clipboard for you. Then it's just switch to SL in a script and Ctrl-A (select all), Ctrl-V (paste). Very similar pattern in the end, but if you simply copy your code from SciTE-ez it won't pre-process it to do all that really handy stuff like allowing #include and #define. |
