Laptop chat animation

Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out how I'd make an object appear in front of an avatar whenever they start chatting. The idea is to make it look like the typing animation is interacting with the object in front of them. I've seen people do this with laptops.


Does the object stay invisible until they start typing or something?

Do I need to write a script to detect when the typing animation is playing, or is there some other trigger / event I could use?
