Hi fellow scripters .. how could i make a walkway/path with light ?
i mean if you walk along the path on my property i would like
to have some invsible prims that switches light on when approached
and light off when left ?

Mayby you saw those walkways somewhere inWorld.

As i read sensors causes Lag mayby the llvolumedetect will work
with collision_start -> turn on a light, collision_end -> turn off a light

but in this case the avatar has to 'touch' the prim .. would a sensor
be better ?

any ideas or Script Snippets for a lost mind ?

regards

The lighting prims will be full-alpha anyway, and emit from the center of the prim, so why not just make enormous llVolumeDetect prims with the logic described? One slight twist, though: may want to add some delay in the turning-off part, in case multiple people are passing through the prim at the same time, or else perhaps track that there isn't still an "open" collision_start for which the corresponding collision_end hasn't yet occurred, to avoid turning out the lights on a straggling avatar.
