Is there a way to tests scripts outside of SL? If not to get out the errors?
Would like to be able to run scripts before getting on the Grid.

Yep, lslint is good, I use it all the time. It's even better than the SL compiler, as it tells you things like the fact you have declared a variable and never used it.

SL compiler?

Where can I get this SL compiler? I know about lslint.
Is there any kind of external execution environment where, perhaps, one can code up mock objects to simulate various in world actors? |

Sorry to confuse you. When I say the SL Compiler, I mean the in-game compilation when you save your script.

newcomer question (but please entertain me):
what's the difference between lsl wiki and secondlife.com/badgeo? is one the mirror of the other, content seems the same... |

"Libsecondlife" provides documentation to do an external compiler.
