Hi there, i am new to this game, only joined few days ago and i have fun building a house from the box.
I am wondering if you could script away and build a house or u need to do it manually using objects and stuff, if u can just type everything in the script can someone point me in the right direction.
Also, can someone tell me whats stuff can u do with the script and what stuff can't you do that way i get a better idea of what i would have to do from playing with objects
Thank you Dane

From: Dane Book Hi there, i am new to this game, only joined few days ago and i have fun building a house from the box. Welcome to SL, Dane! From: someone I am wondering if you could script away and build a house or u need to do it manually using objects and stuff, if u can just type everything in the script can someone point me in the right direction. Yes, it is possible to do this, but it would be a lot of work. Most home builders build the home, then link the parts, then put it in a box like the one I think you bought. Some home builders have 'auto-rezzers', which are scripts that help the resident set up the home. But, what these do is more place and orient the already-built home part. To your question about typing everything into a script: The scripting language cannot 'make' an object (like a box), but it can 'rez' one that you already made. You would have to put a script that goes in that object (to change its shape, position, and texture) and have it listen to another script to tell it what it should become... and there are some limits to what can be changed with a script. So, I have to say a qualified yes. From: someone Also, can someone tell me whats stuff can u do with the script and what stuff can't you do that way i get a better idea of what i would have to do from playing with objects. Here are some resources available to you. 1) There is the Wiki which explains wonderfully about the things you can do with LSL 2) There are mentors who will help you learn more (also linked in the LSL Wiki) 3) There are scripting examples in the script library (also linked in the LSL Wiki) 4) And there are these forums, which contain a lot of answers to new residents.
