I built a swing set. My problem is that if I link the moving peices to the stand (gazebo type) the whole works move. Is there a way to have some objects move while others also linked remain stationary? Please and Thank you )

Yes, but I would highly advise you use a separate object for the swing itself. This will make things far easier for you to understand, since a swing will very likely not be one prim. If you want to do it the hard way, search "child rotations" or the like and see the fun (read: confusing) stuff that comes up.

Thank you Jeffery. The bench is 15 prims (LOL) and move wonderfully together. I really would like it all one object but the other 24 prim begin to swing too. HAHA Very undesirable result. Guess I will leave it two til I get smart.

child prim

I'm not sure the child prim movement would work for a swing.. If you're sitting on a prim and you move it using llSetLocalPos().. you won't move.. just the prim will..
So you will most likely have to do it as two seperate peices. If you can find a work-a-round for this give me a yell.
