Hi, Ive been trying to find out how to build a hud. I need one so that when my object is touched the hud will appear with otions for changing colour etc. Ive looked all over the place in world as well as on these forums but cant find any specific details on how to go about doing this. I have some experience with using huds and and also with altering scripts and menus etc so Im not a complete newby but I would appreciate some help or even a suggestion of where I might learn. thanks

Hi Ed, thanks for the link to your post about huds. Im a bit lost about it still though. What I actually need is a dialogue box to appear when I touch my object that gives options to change colours of the object. I had a go with what your post is explaining and that was all working but it doesnt do anything. Do I need to add a script somewhere for my object to work with the dialogue box etc/ Thanks

Typically the code for the dialog box is included in the script, look p llDialog in the scripting wiki.
