I am currently looking for a way to have an online status bubbles for MSN, ICQ, AIM, and Yahoo Instant Messanger in game...

I am building a replica of a program called Trillian... minus the communicatin part... just need something to see if friends are online at the time... and possably whisper iut to me when they come online.

In order to do that, you'll need a script on an outside server checking the AIM/ICQ/etc status systems (shouldn't be hard to do) and using XML-RPC to send the resulting data in-world.

I can provide hosting for the outside script if you need it, for L$250/month. I can also write the script, but I'm not sure how much I'd charge.

I believe the phpBB source can tell you how to check online status.

I've been working this actually; I'm building a Jabber<-->SL gateway at the moment. :)
