It is possible to locate a friend on your calling card list by clicking on the map and getting sim/coordiante data. Is there anything in scripting that will do the same to replace opening the map and clicking. I have searched the functions but can't see anything.

No, there is no way to directly pass the coordinate data to an LSL script. It's an interesting idea though.

If we ever got a scriptable UI, client-side script execution and a fast data path to scripts on the server, I can think of all kinds of things we could do with it.

For it to work right now, I guess the Lindens would have to let us drag calling cards into an object, then add a tracker function.
