Due to the closing of this forum, and the decentralization of most of it's population I've created a wiki page on the LSL_Portal to list specific forums and groups that deal with helping in LSL scripting

you can login to the wiki and edit the page (use the edit tab at the top of the page until I can fix the box edit.) and add groups or forums that you know deal with scripting.

if you don't know how, simply leave a post here or IM me inworld with the group or forums information and I'll add it myself as I receive them.

I've created an inworld group (Scriptoratti http://world.secondlife.com/group/7797c3a7-d7af-1784-8567-a57ba36b2bae / [secondlife:///app/group/7797c3a7-d7af-1784-8567-a57ba36b2bae/about]), free admission, aimed specifically at people from this forum that have helped others in the past. the moderators group is open to anyone from these forums that's helped, or anyone that helps through the group in the future, and moderators can promote from within anyone who meets those qualifications... currently search is on but it hasn't shown up yet, use the second address inworld to join if you don't get an invite, and I'll be keeping sole liabilities when it goes on, so no L$ surprises, come payments time.

in the future, if people are willing to support it I'll add land holdings for a sandbox area.

This is really an awesome idea.

Maybe, too, when there is an actual url next week to the archived scripting tips forum here, that should go on there as a resource?

good idea... I'll add a placeholder for it right now

if you can't get the scriptoratti secondlife url to link, simply paste it into chat inworld, and click on it in the chat history window. officers group can promote everyone group members to officers if they are people shown to help others, and can eject spammers in the everyone group (please use sparingly or I'll have to boot you too =P )

now to send out mass invites....

Mass invites have been sent inworld for the Scriptoratti group, no big deal if you decline (I know people have capped groups, or are already in some scripting groups, etc)

if you didn't get one, and would like to join, post the following into inworld chat, and click the link it creates in your chat history window, joining is free and there's no liabilities.
