Is there a way for me to report my own position in the world using llGetOwner()?
Im trying to make a script that will tell anyone that visits my home my location, aswell as my online status. I have already made the online status script, and now just need to add on the my position stuff. I have tried just about everything, and im thinking mabey it has something to do with the dataserver event? Please help.

I think the answer is not the way you're thinking of.

You could, however, wear a reporter beacon on your avie. It could do the various llGetRegionName() and llGetPos() to report your exact location back by email or similar so it could be updated by your online sensor. Since you won't be rerezzing your online sensor too often one assumes you'd get a static email address that way.

This may, if you want to use it this way, have the benefit that you could also send a status message e.g. "I'm in a meeting, please don't disturb me unless it's vital" by adding them to the message you email back.
