Has anyone else gone vendor shopping and been dismayed at the options available? Why is it that no one out there seems to prefer a simple, easy to use (for BOTH the owner and customer) system, that will make it easy to buy, and sell, multiple items with the same price.
I'm looking for a 1-prim vendor, (It will only be selling up to 10 colors of the same object, at the same price. Just click it to rotate the colors, similar to Hiro's.), which has NO debit permissions, AND does away with the need for them completely by having one fast-pay button with the correct price.
I have a combination of a low-prim, high traffic (it's actually a top ten freebie place, but god is the lag a pain), newbie-friendly rental area to deal with. Rent is fantastic, I've already made back my first months rent depite only been open for two days with no advertisement. However, all of the items I've created come in several colors, and putting buyable signs up on the wall for each one is eating into my prim count very quickly, so I really need vendors, or I'm going to run out of room.
The problem is, the usual script for vendors is just too complicated and prone to mistakes to try to vend with to your average newbie, and expect them to understand immediatly that they should type in x-amount (instead of pushing the pretty buttons) and will then get their item. I know I've seen vendors with a single 'fast pay' button, set at the correct price for the item, with no option to type in a different price, I just cant recall if they were a 1-prim style.
I also can't find one like this, for sale, or free, anywhere in-world. Is this something I'm going to have to contract out to a scripter, or does anyone here know of somewhere I could find what I'm looking for?

From: Jordana Heron I'm looking for a 1-prim vendor, (It will only be selling up to 10 colors of the same object, at the same price. The one-prim part of this is easy, but it's really not safe to count on llSetPayPrice() to always generate a money event with the correct amount. See , to wit: From: someone Security Warning Always (ALWAYS!) check the amount paid in your money() event. This UI element isn't modal, and has had bugs exploited in the past. Never trust the client software to be secure. This is extra critical now with the open source client. So, either the script will need debit perms anyway to refund incorrect amounts, or make some other provision for handling that situation.

I just thought I'd come back and let anyone else who might be looking for the same thing know that I did eventually find what I was looking for. LSI Single-Prim Vendor : http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=2860311-prim, fixed price button, with no debit permissions, and a (literally) 2 minute set-up. Only drawback someone else might have is that it can ONLY vend items with the same price. But for me that's a plus since I'm using it to sell the same item in many different colors. It doesn't show up in a search for vendors because its sold out of a fashion shop, in-world. Apparently the creator set them up for her own use, and made the blanks available to others. I found it through SLX, and then linked to the actual shop to purchase.
