hey, im building a basement to my house and when i lower the ground i cant' keep the water level out of my prims. how do i fix this?

Lift the house and terraform the land to bring it up to the level of the first floor. That's your only option. You can't change the water table and there's no way to keep water out of anything below the water table. Sorry about that.

you can also throw in a darkened prim against the water level and just have the basement be dark. But you will need a bit of imagination for this, it won't get rid of the water, or the darkness under it. But you can cover the water so you can't see it pretty easily.

If your concern in the av passing through the water surface, use a small opening and and invisiprim. This will help hide the surface. The basement will always be dim though. Those are the breaks.
Alternatively, you could build the basement as a skybox and make the basement door a teleporter to it.
