You should be able to use any AO for tinies, the only problem is that you can't read the AO script they use (which is against the license, by the way) to see which animations go with which poses for the animations they're already using.

I've never tried the tiny thing, but assuming they use a Francis Chung AO, or a derivative of it the original is made available with a GPL that requires the script remains public domain and viewable.

There must be SOME AO in the tiny sets and the scripts are almost certainly Francis' originally - there's not a better general one around that I know of - at least in part because of the free license (It is also good code which helps too).

Sitting on furniture is a different thing (although sit scripts aren't hard to find, there's an excellent one in here that Strife wrote and released publically for example). The furniture script and pose will interact with the AO script and sit pose - sometimes frustratingly so (although Ziggy's ZHAO mod is nice and lets you choose and is still open source).

To answer your original question ANY sit script (that works) will work for a tiny sit - Strife's certainly will. However the thing that poses you is the animation, not the script (the script more or less just says "play that anim rather than the normal sit pose";) - and finding the anims might be harder.

Eloise is right that there is no special sit script for tinies. But you can find the anims easiliy because there is "Mini Avatar Kit", L$50 in world. :)

Tinies use a modified version of the Franimation Overrider. The Franimation Overrider is GPL, which means that anyone who distributes it (including the people who make tinies and mecha) have to distribute the exact source code for the version they include at no additional charge, and it must be possible to use the modified version in the original product.

it seems a common misconception that "animations" = "scripts". i think you're looking for tinies animations, not a script, as scripts just tell an already-made animation to play. maybe try the animations subforum :D

Only if they use that AO though.. it is possible for anybody to write an AO from scratch given the scripting knowledge of course. Not all of them would necesarily be using a derivative the Framination Overrider or any other AO on the market for that fact and wouldnt be a license violation unless they were.

*not trying to de rail thread on license talk just wanted to point that its not always a license violation for closed sourse Tiny AO's*

Tinies use a modified version of the Franimation Overrider.

Someone can write a new overrider from scratch, but the Tinies and Mecha I've bought have all used Franimation.

The new feral avatars are currently using the Franimation Overrider, too. But after I contacted Jakkal Dingo about it I got an IM back saying they are going to write a new AO from scratch. Maybe they'll release it under the BSDL or license it royalty-free to other avatar builders.

Or, they could just quit selling avatars no-mod. No-mod avatars are really annoying.
