ok, Im not new to SL but very new to scripting and need some help. Hope this isnt a duplicate question.
Does anyone know how to remove the standup button, or otherwise keep someone from standing up once they are sitting on soemthing? The idea being that the object owner can release them? (or they can tp of course). It will need a "are you willing to let this animate you <yes/no>" also.

It's not possible on the vanilla SL viewer. Some third-party viewers have added that functionality, but an user needs to be using that viewer for it to work.

Look for the Restrained Life viewer. Odds are, someone who would participate in sitting on the object you're building would likely be running that client. The API is well documented here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/RestrainedLifeAPI (^_^)
... and.... With RLV, you CAN make it so even a TP escape is impossible. =^-^= _____________________

Some warning would be nice if that's going to happen... I once had some scary moments trying to get off a pose ball that wasn't responding to "stand up" or to "stop all animations" -- it finally did let me off, but you know... a person can get a little freaked out.
