Hey there,
I was wondering if it possible to change a basic script. I don't know nothing about scrips, so i ama sking for help.
My avatar's way of walking starts to annoy me and now I found a 'walk' animation which looks a lot better. Now I am curcious if it is possible to put this animation as my avatar's 'always' walk without using the Trigger option. As in: just walk the animated walk when I move forward or abckwards.
Many thanks if you can help me out!
Greetings, Ghost Kaos

Greetings, Ghost Kaos If I'm understanding your post correctly, I think you need an animation overrider. There are several varieties in SL. I think there is even a free one somewhere. They allow you to customize a lot of your default moves. You can do a search under places in world maybe with the word "overrider". Or here in the forums as well. I hope this helps.
From: Seth Kanahoe Thank you for spewing sense into this thread.

Thank you Very much for the info, April.
Now all I have to find is an Overrider, because there are none to be found in SL.

Thank you both very much. There is just a small problem after both your tips and looking here around the forum and in-world of SL; I have absolutely no clue about editing scripts. I tried to change the one in the Script Library, but it only gives error before I can even save the new script. I am too much of a newbie for this.
Can somehelp help me with a script to change my Default "walking" into another type of walking like "Walk: Sexy"?

Reverie give out a free animation overrider just in their main entrance. Gwyneth Llewelyn makes and sells a magic ring which overrides your walk with a sexy walk. If you ONLY want your walk replaced edit Kyrah's script. The second and third lines of code (not orange comments) read: //if a state isnt in the list its just ignored, you can add new overriding states here list states = ["Standing","Walking","Hovering","Crouching","Hovering","Jumping","PreJumping","Running","Sitting","Sitting on Ground", "Flying","FlyingSlow","Falling Down","Soft Landing","CrouchWalking"];
//list of ther anims yo will use instead if the value == pass on, we let the anim play. One anim per state list anims = ["ballet stand","ballet walk 2","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots","ballet foots"];
Change them to: //if a state isnt in the list its just ignored, you can add new overriding states here list states = ["Walking"];
//list of ther anims yo will use instead if the value == pass on, we let the anim play. One anim per state list anims = ["Walk: Sexy"];
Make sure you get the name of the anim right by the way, otherwise you'll get a rude message. And by the way, despite your title this isn't a basic script by any stretch of the imagination.

Nice little mod to the KDC script, but i did find one problem. As is, the walk animation continues running when you stand. i am VERY new to scripting and the only solution i was able to come up with was to include a standing pose to the lists (i.e. added "Standing" in the list of states, and the animation to the list of animations)
Was curious if this is the simpliest way or if there is a simple way to just "kill" the walk animation when standing
