Please help me with this problem

i dont know where i can get a script to add to my plane to create hovering text above the plane that shows height and speed.

anyone help?

What you want is llSetText

so if i add that to my flight script ill get the height and speed showing above my plane?

llSetText is what sets the floating text. You only need to use it when you want the text to change.

Have you checked out the Scripting Wiki run by Catherine Omega? http://www.badgeometry.com/wiki/HomePage. Take a little time and do some research. You will find what you're looking for, but you are going to have to work to do it.

This is a simple bit of code, and any nice scripter would probably do it for you for free or a minimal cost. There's a thread of friendly scripters in the main scripting forum.

Furthermore, if you wanted to do it yourself, but were having trouble, if you posted your first attempt here someone would probably fix it up for you.

But this forum is not a good place to
- solicit someone to write something for you, there's the classifieds forum for that.
- demand people do work for you for free.

i wouldnt call this demanding. i asked nicely and got my head bitten off. ive tryed to write it, and havent succeeded. i dont think out of all these replies anyone has actually helped. and if you arent willing to help me, dont post.

Hey oliver, I have a script that will set whatever flotaing text you want. I can give to you for free since thats how I got it. Only thing is you will need to find a way to have the "Floating Text Script" recognize your altitude, speed etc..... That i dont know how to do. Contact me In-game and I will try to help if I can
