key controls in and out of mouselook

Hi all,

In the case of a mouselook vehicle, most scripts out there seem to work partially in standard view (throttle, up/down), but not side to side.

Apparently mouselook remaps the left-right keys....

My question is, what must be done to make a vehicle that responds more or less properly when you leave mouselook? That is, have the left and right keys actually steer, in the event that the user does not want to be in mouselook any more. Essentially, dual control types, for what was once only mouselook.

Handle both the CONTROL_RIGHT/LEFT and the CONTROL_ROT_RIGHT/LEFT controls.

Thanks Hewee, I tried that right off, but there seems to be more to the puzzle.

If one sets up a mouselook vehicle, the turning is based on rotation on the roll axis, is it not? Out of mouselook... that feature goes away, and a completely new turning mechanism must be implemented, or so it seems. Am I wrong about this?

If this is the case, I am not sure how to have two turning mechanisms running on the same vehicle physics....

Can anyone help clear up this bit of confusion?

Thanks so much!
