Can you move an avatar with out them sitting?

this has been bugging me for a day or so I tried to use llSetPos with no luck is there anyway to move an avatar thats standing up with out using push?

in a word, no.

However, you can have an avatar sitting on an object while playing a standing animation.

what if object was attached to the hud? I have seen "poofers" do it

you can actualy its just not very relieble, I make lifts that use llSetPos in smale incriments 0.25 ish or less, this works well if they are in mouse look or otherwise moving in some small way to begin with as each incriment bumps them slightly.

The problem with this is when they are compleatly static, like when you are standing on a platform and deleat it you stand in air untill you move at all then fall.

it works quite well as long as you want it slow.

llMoveToTarget i belive can make you move also, ive made one with that, forget how it gose but once yo reach the location it will stop the movetotarget funtion,

i belive it may be

llMove2Target((llGetPos*(0,0,0))*llGetRot // not 100% sure off top of my head as soon as grid comes back on ill post a free copy
