hi all i have a little questions! and...i am sorry for my rough english... 1. can i make something that SAVE its status after i take him back to my inventory? for example, i want to make a cube that i change it color with "listen", take it back to my inventory - and when it out again it saves her color from my changing... 2. there is a way to make a DATA CENTER that object from the same type take an information from it, no matter where they are? for example, i want to make 12 cubes... put them at a different locations, and when i touch them they tell how much clicking was at all the 12... when i touch cube1 it says "1", and after that when i touch cube2 (in other island) it says "2" because i touched the cube1 before... thanks in advance!!! and please dont think i am an idiot because of my bad english, this is not my spoken... u know...

From: someone 1. can i make something that SAVE its status after i take him back to my inventory? That happens automatically. So unless your object resets its color (or any other property) when it's re-rezzed, it will have the same state as it did when you took it into inventory. Objects in inventory are "frozen in time", so to speak. From: someone 2. there is a way to make a DATA CENTER that object from the same type take an information from it, no matter where they are? Yes, and that will be a fairly complex scripting project, depending on how far away these objects are from each other, how quickly the information needs to be updated, how secure the communication needs to be, and so on.

try http://secondlife.com/badgeo/wakka.php?wakka=communications for starters Another good example is to start with and get Hank Ramos' TV script - its in part three of his scripting class. As I recall, you can get the scripting class notes and examples from The Learning Centre (and other locations.)
