There must be a way to do it, but for all of the different AOs I have seen...none of them have the option to replace the default SL trypig animation. I have a real bad memory, but wasn't LL gonna have a contest on speaking anims? A few randomized talking anims would really add some atmosphere.

I'm hoping with the advent of the voice feature into SL that they will open more in the way of gestures and LSL functions to detect voice and also to replace the typing anim with typing sound (which can get annoying after a while in SL). I have created a function in one of my gadgets that uses a timer to detect when the user starts to type and then overrides that with either llStopAnimation() or another anim. Hopefully LL will jump on the band wagon here and give us more options to "twiddle" with this feature.

There are typing overriders that will allow you to play different animations and sounds when you type. I think the first bit of the default animation and sound play, then the overrider takes over.
Xio, shoot me a line in-world and I'll see if I can dig out the scripts.
