I'd like to add a pdf to an object that when a user clicks it and then it downloads the document to the user. Would someone please me?

SL doesn't really have any support for PDF so you'll have to point the person at a URL somewhere on the web that contains the file..

If you wanted to be clever about things, you could, I suppose, convert the PDF to an image file remotely and then feed it through as a media texture. The exact details are left to the interested student though.
