I saw a store display that had a flexi dress inside an invisible box and the 'wind' was blowing the flexi skirt. I've searched the forums but cant seem to find out how this was done. Any suggestions??

Yes. just like cameras, light, particles and other prims, wind goes through everything inworld.
It's the "Flexie" that catches the wind.

There wasnt wind outside the invisible box. The dress was inside the box and the skirt was blowing.

Various flexi params can be scripted to simulate wind. Typically, they interact with a "wind machine" object. This requires the "wind machine" and the skirt to communicate in some way.

One fun use is to re-create that famous Marilyn Monroe scene in which her skirt blows upwards. A designer may create a skirt that blows upwards whenever a person walks over a subway vent. The subway would detect the avatar and issue a command for the skirt to blow upwards.
