Rename 62 CT brain scan images, in my inventory?

So anyway, I'm building a CT Scan slice viewer in Second Life. Yep, I've uploaded my brain into the virtual world. :D

(temporary location until I find a more permanent home. There's a smaller version nearby which will have a functional image manipulation control panel soon.)

I changed the format of how I name my images, and so I either need to rename this stack of images in my inventory, or just delete and reupload them as a new dataset. Since it cost me L$620 to upload the stack of 512x512 images, I would prefer to rename them.

However, tedious repetitive tasks annoy me, and renaming these 62 images by hand is quite annoying. If I can do this builk renaming via scripting, I would prefer that over the manual labor.

Current naming:
"Soft_Tissue_256-0002" to "Soft_Tissue_256-0032"
"Soft_Tissue_256_FlipV-0002" to "Soft_Tissue_256_FlipV-0032"

I want this changed to:
"Soft_Tissue-0001" to "Soft_Tissue-0031"
"Soft_Tissue_256_FlipV-0001" to "Soft_Tissue_256_FlipV-0031"

Is it possible to do script operations on objects in my avatar's inventory? I assume this cannot be done, and I would at least have to move them into a scripted object for it to have inventory access. Can a scripted object even rename inventory items?
