Hello everyone,

Been trying to find what I need to make this work but have not been able to find any documentation. I need to figure out the code that would rotate a prim from another linked prim.

An example would be lets say an arm, it consists of 6 prims. The shoulder, upper arm, elbow, lower arm, wrist, and hand. Now lets say we want to simply lift the arm up to the side. How can I make it do that? I no longer can find the option to set something as a hinge or joint. I looked at llSetRot but it seems it would only let me do this using the X Y Z axis and not from a "joint" prim.

A more simple example would be scripting a wing on a bird to flap up and down. 1 prim body, 1 prim wing. How on earth can I make that sucker flap?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but it is driving me mad I tells ya!

Thank you for any help you all can give,
Anderion

I don't know myself but I do know there are vehicles that can have hinged doors. If the car rotates from its center, and the door from its hinge, then obviously you can have a prim within a linked set rotate. I'd start by looking into vehicle door hinges.
Another source would be (Final Fantasy) chocobos and freebie birds. I have a free chocobo that has single prim wings and flies.
