Hey everyone, im new to SL and to everything in it. Ive finally finished my 1st detailed weapon and its a cool looking chain gun. Now that im done building it id like to script it as a possible means for money. Does anyone know/have a script that can make my barrels rotate; a script that makes it fire bullets when in mousemode; a script that makes those bullets knockback the target that is being fired at; a script that makes those bullets do damage to the target that is being fired at; a script with the sound-FX of a high-powered machine gun/gatling gun? Thanks for you time & help.

ok you have the right name for scripting, good, now whatever you do, do NOT change your shirt and you are well on your way to be a great scripter!

oh BTW all those little things you will learn, most if not all of them have been done already, look around, you will find them.

Hiro...you'll find that while we love to be helpful, scripters don't often respond to "please can I have for free" requests...heh...

I'd suggest doing a forum search on the Scripting Library...you'll find open-source scripting there that will help you do what you want.

Also... You might want to take at scripts from weapons that the author was nice enough to leave on (modify). ^_^
It's always good to learn how to script from other's scripting.

It's how I learned to script in a previous game I played hehe....

go to yadni's junkyard, there's a ton of guns you can rip apart to learn how to do exactly what you're looking for. in fact, i think i got a chaingun there even.
