I'd file this as a bug but I am not sure I believe that something as basic as llSay could be broken.
Go to the beta grid (aditi/Sandbox Wanderton) and create a box, then press new script.
Do you hear "Hello, Avatar"?
I don't. Is it just me?

OMG LOL. I'm going crazy. That was far too simple. I've never known scripts to be turned off at Wanderton. I've been noobed.
