Hey all, i hope i dont have to many queastions for you all.

heres my latest question. i want to have a few variables on a notecard where me or my friends can alter them, without haveing to let them see the main script. ive seen it done and have some sample codes ive been looking at, but i keep getting errors, and wiki doesnt have any examples. can someone give me example of varibales i need at top of script, and what to put inside main script. i would appreciate any help, thanks

Here is a good example of how to read from a notecard, in the LSL wiki. In the example script, it simply says the contents of each line as it receives them, but you could also do more useful things like accumulate the data in a list, etc.

We need some more information on what is happening. Are you seeing anything at all?

i have ran into many errors. the problem is im trying to piece together codes ive seen in different places, so their is no one error. I guess i asking what is the right way to write it.

i tried the script aboce many times, the one the second post mention. It says nothing at all, ive tried putting touch start etc in front to get it going also. It could be as simple as not putting em in rigth place or missing one symbol. has anybody actually tried that script, or just know its there?

The script on the wiki definitely works, I've used the code from it several times. I just cut-and-pasted it in world right now and it worked right off.
