I'm trying to find a script that will allow me to place a roving "eye" in a vehicle or my robot, similar to the red roving eye found in Knight Rider's car or the Battlestar Galatic Cylon robots.
Does anyone know where I can find this?
thanks!

llSetTextureAnim is what you want...
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetTextureAnim ANIM_ON, LOOP, PING_PONG, SMOOTH _____________________

hey Void Singer..
I used that command like you suggested but all I got was a glowing red box. Theres no "eye" moving back and forth. What gives? this is my script: default { state_entry() { // anim SMOOTH Script llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON | LOOP | PING_PONG | SMOOTH, ALL_SIDES,25,25,25.0, 20,20.20); } } |

You need to make a texture with it, that looks like the eye, but not moving, so a middle part that is bright red, that fades to black on both sides, then it should work.

actually I think it'll need to have the red part on one side, but yeah... and I'm not sure about your offsets/cell counts
