From: Sarah Pegler is it possible to make a sensor scan the hole sl grid No. A sensor is currently limited to a range of 96 meters. You can use a network of multiple sensor objects to attempt to achieve total coverage, but it's not for the faint of heart...

Or you could use warpPos to leap your sensor to different points in the Sim to do the scan.
4 points would allow a full sim to be scanned if you're looking for a specific person.

Thraxis, a bit more than that to cover the sky as well. You never know if they might be on a platform 500m up.

uhh, guys, the question said whole grid, not whole sim...... so, that would be four points per sim, which is quite a few thousand remotes *grin* plus all the email messaging you'd have to do to get the results back

You can't send your remotes across blank areas either, so islands wouldn't be covered. (Or can you with a big enough warppos? I'm not sure.)

It would be roughly 2,500 or so seperate sensors. One per sim, use llHTTPRequest and XML-RPC for control.
Of course you would most likely get reported and banned.
