Is it possible to write a script that will send a group invitation to whoever touches a prim?

I realise that if it is possible then a script is probably out there, but despite searching I've not found it.

there is a bot that does it though... someone sells it as a service in products wanted IIRC... the bot has to be in the group and have invite permissions though.

Methinks that in case there are not dozens of residents every day clamouring to join the group, the low tech solution of an object IMing a group officer with a request to join would indeed be a viable alternative.

It is a good thing such a feature has not been added.

Group stuff should always be handled by the group owners. You don't want shady people to join your precious group.
