Bizarre llMoveToTarget behavior in attachments

So according to the LSL wiki, llMoveToTarget works in attachments. And... it is mostly right. But it is very inconsistent. Here is what i found with some experimenting.

If you put on an attachment, create a new script, and llMoveToTarget(), it will not work. This even if you set the attachment to be physical. HOWEVER...

if you rez a physical object on the ground, add the script, start it, and then wear it, you are free to move as you wish. But then detach/reattach or reset seems to break it again.

Has anyone found a way to get around this nuisance?

Thanks!

Not sure if it answers your question Furia, but when it comes to attachments, recompiling a script with a llMoveToTarget () function call in it requires you to detach it and attach it again, until then this function call will silently fail. This is annoying but unfortunately the only way to go.

Works fine for me, as long as I detach/reattach after any changes to the object.

/agrees with Marine.

That helps alot. I'm glad it's not something more complicated like i thought (having to drop the attachment, chase it down and quickly put it on again!). thanks!
