I have a freebie item in my inventory called 'Red Ring Around Waist' or something similar. Iti san item that creates a particle rainbow around the wearer, and I like the effect. However, it is 15m away from the wearer, and I wish it to be much closer. I have changed the only instance of radius I have found within the script to 3m, however, that only changes the red particles. The rest of it continues to be 15m away (Or so, depending on the color layer). I did not make this script, but have modify privileges. If anyone else has this item, and can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. I am not at a computer with SL at the moment, so will upload the script later, but for now, if anyone else has it, I would appreciate any help!

The effect you described means there's multiple particle scripts running.
Most-likely the radii are set slightly offset getting bigger and bigger to create the rainbow effect.
Edit the individual prims and see if you can find multiple particle system scripts imbedded in the other prims.
