Have an attachment that when clicked by friend animates you both? Is it possible?

Hi,

I'd like to wear something like a heart ( easy now don't throw up.... ) that would allow a girl to click it to then invoke simultaneous animations ( two prims might be needed and linked ) one prim animates me the other linked animates her.

Two prims might make the animations match up better than just running into each other.....

What do you think, can it be done? I seem to think xcite works something like that but I don't think it animates the girl.....

Thank you

It's possible, but not exactly how you're thinking if I understand correctly.

Sure, it's easy to have a script in an attachment animate both the wearer and the clicker (after the clicker agrees to the blue dialog that WILL pop up asking for permission to be animated). But there's no way to position the parties in a particular way, unless they sit on prims (like poseballs), and unfortunately nobody can sit on something attached to you. :(

Your reference to "running into each other" sounds like you've experienced the popular hug attachments that require careful lining up ahead of time, and that's pretty much what we're stuck with unless you're willing to have the parties involved sit on things.

Thanks for responding. I was afraid you'd say that oh well....I'll work with what I have I guess.

Take care. :)

While it is possible to use llMoveToTarget to get them to line up correctly, both avatars would have to something attached to them.

The real trick lies in making sure both clients have the animation in their cache so they sync correctly.

Also, in terms of animations not getting close enough, good animations are offset forward so the player looks like he's farther forward than his actual collision box is.

Get one of the free kissers and huggers and modify it so that it activates on touch instead of chat.
