Simple plane script?

Hmm, I know scripting a flying vehicle is probably not the best idea for starting out with vehicles, and it's a slightly odd vehicle at that.

Basically what I'm hoping for is a simple example of a plane script, doesn't need to be realistic or anything, in fact the easier it is to fly, the better.

I then need to be able to rotate it. You see, the vehicle starts on its tail (so it's vertical) and then tips so that the top of the plane faces forward. The rotation I can deal with, but getting the vehicle to account for it has been tricky at best, I've encountered all sorts of delightful issues like having it flip randomly so your mouselook view is suddenly upside-down, or having it thrust in direction that bear no resemblance to the changes I made to the script.

A simpler example would be nice, all I've found so far are hover bikes, or ordinary cars.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
