Is there a way to stop a state activating until another state has completed a task?
For instance, in on_res I generate lists from notecards and I don't want touch_start to activate untill those lists are completed - it is a smiggen of time, but if lag is bad it might extend to be a bit noticeable.

Off the top of my head I would say you could just throw an integer test which is set to TRUE at the end of the data server event and tested for true in the touch event.
