Why not have an option for a script to check the sim for how many avatars are present. If the number is too high, say 20+ it could suspend normal functions and drop itself into a timer for 5 minutes and then check again. When it gets a result under 20 it could restart itself (And anything it's linked to). Causing the script to "play nice" under heavy loads. This could have a significant effect on the "busy sim" lag effect if it were widely used. Added as a proposition

Having an arbitrary number like number of agents would be less meaningful than having access to something like TimeDilation or overall time (ms) of agents and active scripts
I like your thought process, though.

Well, with getting the number of agents I was working from lowest amount of scan overhead for max return.

Why not bake this in as a constant for llRequestSimulatorData? DATA_SIM_AGENTS DATA_SIM_TIME_DIOLATION DATA_SIM_FPS
