Sitting on objects in a vehicle

Hi there

Is there a simple way to allow me to sit on different seats in a vehicle. I have a largish box-shaped flying vehicle that is meant as a basic replacement home (as I currently have no land) In the pie menu I have "Fly" as the sit text which of course works well to take control of the thing. However I cannot sit down anywhere else because when I do I just take control and sit on the pilot's seat.

I understand why this is the case, but I know that there is a way around this because I have seen other vehicles that allow you to do this. My original idea was to have a series of commands (possible on buttons) that would rez objects into the ship where they were needed, but this would mean that these would only be possible when the ship was not in motion. It would also only work when over land that would allow rezzing.

If anyone has some suggestions - or point me to a thread that would help I would be grateful. I have looked through the forums but cannot find anything so far.
